The Summer Sun & Fun: Alumni Pickleball Fest successfully concluded on 16 August, bringing together alumni, families and friends for a vibrant day of sports and connection. Laughter echoed across the courts as participants embraced the joy of pickleball, creating lasting summer memories.

The event featured two specially designed sessions tailored for different alumni groups. The morning kicked off with “Family Pickle Fun”, where alumni and their families teamed up to explore the charm of this emerging sport. They showcased great teamwork and enthusiasm, enjoying playful games in a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere.

The afternoon session, “Game On: Pickleball & All”, brought alumni and students together on the same court for a series of lively matches. Alumni teams faced off against student teams in friendly competition, where playful rivalry sparked energetic rallies and mutual respect. Though competing from different generations, the matches fostered meaningful connections, ending with handshakes, laughter and new friendships.

Alumnus Mr Daniel Cheung Ching-hei served as coach for the day, offering guidance and encouragement throughout. More than just a sports gathering, the event was a meaningful opportunity to strengthen bonds and rekindle campus connections through the dynamic spirit of pickleball.
