HSUHK 45th Anniversary “Uniquely Common” Concert Appreciation Reception
In gratitude for the support received for the 45th Anniversary “Uniquely Common” Concert on 18 September 2025, The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) hosted an appreciation reception on 30 January 2026. The event was graced by over a hundred guests, including supporters of the Concert, guest performers, staff members, students, and alumni who participated in the celebratory concert.
Dr Moses Cheng, Chairman of the Council, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to friends from all walks of life for their generous support of the Concert. He also sincerely thanked the guest performers, as well as the colleagues and students who contributed to the preparation and organisation of the event. Dr Cheng emphasised that the success of the Concert was the result of collective effort and mutual trust, culminating in a truly “Uniquely Common” experience.
Dr Patrick Poon and Dr Francis Yuen, Co‑Chairmen of the Concert Advisory Committee, shared their insights and challenges encountered while organising the two concerts in 2023 and 2025. Dr Poon opined that HSUHK is a unique private university where everyone’s contributions play a vital role in the success of the concerts. Dr Yuen, moved by the President’s dedication, gladly agreed to participate in the drum performance.
President Simon S.M. Ho concluded by once again thanking all donors and supporters, emphasising that the University’s capacity to uphold its founding spirit and foster continuous innovation relies on the enduring trust and encouragement from the community.
