Moving together: a sporting reunion for staff-alumni
On 12 June, the Advancement and Alumni Affairs Office (AAAO) hosted its annual “Staff-alumni Sports Gathering”, introducing fresh vitality to the campus community. Designed to blend physical wellness with strategic team-building, the event brought together staff alumni and colleagues who have returned to serve their alma mater after graduation.
Taking a break from their busy work schedules, participants gathered at the University’s Sports Hall to reconnect and bond over two highly trending with one another through emerging sports: Touch Tennis and Cornhole. Under the guidance of professional instructors, colleagues enjoyed an exciting and inclusive sporting experience.
The memorable occasion was also joined by Professor Simon S. M. Ho, President, Dr Josiah Chan, Vice-President (Organisational Development), Ms Elisa Chan, Director of Advancement and Alumni Affairs, and Dr Eden Chow, alumnus and Chairman of the Alumni Affairs Committee. Following the games, a post-activity light lunch and souvenir distribution offered a structured yet relaxed space for participants to extend their conversations and networking. Ultimately, the event further strengthened the campus-based alumni community and beautifully demonstrated the unique, lasting connection formed when alumni give back to their alma mater as dedicated staff members.
