President Joshua Mok Leads a Delegation to Meet with The University’s Founding Family The S. H. Ho Foundation Limited
President Joshua Mok led a delegation from The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) on a visit to the S. H. Ho Foundation, established by the family of the University’s Founder, on 15 September 2026. The delegation was warmly received by Dr Ho Tzu-leung, Governor of the Foundation, Ms Deborah Ho, Governor of the Foundation, and other Foundation representatives, including Mr Thomas Ho and Ms Vanessa Ho. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for both parties to exchange views on the future development of the University, the evolving role of self-financing higher education institutions, and potential areas for collaboration.
President Mok expressed his sincere gratitude for the Foundation’s longstanding support of HSUHK and its commitment to advancing education. He shared the University’s institutional vision, latest strategic developments, and perspectives on the future of higher education. He emphasised that HSUHK is dedicated to nurturing caring professionals with a global vision and a strong sense of social responsibility and leadership capabilities. The University also remains committed to pursuing impactful research that contributes to knowledge creation, fosters innovation, and supports the sustainable development of society. Looking ahead, HSUHK aspires to become a leading private university in Asia.
Dr Josiah Chan, Vice-President (Organisational Development), introduced the latest campus developments and highlighted students’ notable achievements in service-learning, leadership development and campus life. His presentation showcased HSUHK’s distinctive approach to whole-person education and its dedication to nurturing well-rounded graduates.
Dr Ho Tzu-leung and the Foundation representatives commended the University’s remarkable progress and achievements in recent years and expressed their appreciation for HSUHK’s dedication to nurturing talented young people and serving the wider community. Both parties also exchanged views on the opportunities and challenges facing self-financing higher education institutions and explored potential areas of future collaboration, with a shared commitment to advancing educational development and cultivating future generations of talent.
The visit further strengthened the longstanding relationship between HSUHK and the S. H. Ho Foundation, laying a solid foundation for future collaboration in education, talent development and related initiatives for the benefit of the community.
