President Joshua Mok Leads Delegation Visit to the University’s Founding Family Wei Lun Foundation
President Joshua Mok led a delegation from The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) on a visit to Wei Lun Foundation Limited on 24 September 2026. The delegation was warmly received by Dr Helen Lee Yick Hoi-lun, spouse of the late Dr Lee Quo Wei and Chairman of Wei Lun Foundation, Mr Thomas Liang, Chief Executive of Wei Lun Foundation, and Michelle Liang. The meeting provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange views on the University’s development and talent development.
President Mok expressed his sincere gratitude to Wei Lun Foundation for its longstanding support for HSUHK, and shared the University’s educational vision and latest developments. He said that HSUHK would continue to uphold its philosophy of “Learning with Care, Caring through Learning” and nurture young people with professional competence, innovative thinking and a strong sense of social responsibility.
During the meeting, Dr Josiah Chan, Vice-President (Organisational Development), and Ms Elisa Chan, Director of Advancement and Alumni Affairs, also updated the University on campus development as well as students’ achievements in service-learning and campus life.
Dr Lee, Mr Liang, and other Foundation representatives commended HSUHK on its achievements and progress, and expressed appreciation for the University’s dedication to nurturing talented young people and serving the wider community. Both parties also exchanged views on the application of artificial intelligence and the development of an inclusive learning environment.
President Mok presented the Foundation with a meaningful tea set as a token of appreciation, expressing his hope that Wei Lun Foundation and HSUHK would continue to work together in advancing education and nurturing future generations.
