On their visit to The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) on 7 December 2018, Chairman Mr Michael Lau and Managing Director Mr Bernard Lau of Pak Hing Loong Company Limited were warmly received by University President Prof. Simon Ho.

Accompanied by Ms Elisa Chan, Director, and Ms Alice Chan, Manager, of the Advancement & Alumni Affairs Office, the visiting guests went on a campus tour, covering academic buildings, the BJC Broadcasting Studio, HSUHK Jockey Club Residential Colleges, and the Sports and Amenities Centre.

Afterwards the guests were treated to a luncheon on campus hosted by Prof. Ho, who shared with them HUSHK’s vision and mission, as well as its unique “Liberal + Professional” education model. Prof. Ho also expressed his gratitude to Mr Michael Lau for arranging the invitation of referral His Excellency Mr Dejan Židan, the then Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food of the Republic of Slovenia, to give a public lecture on campus in November 2017. Entitled “Slovenia, China and Hong Kong in the Global Context”, the talk served the purpose of broadening students’ horizons. Highly supportive of Prof. Ho’s education philosophy, the visiting guests expressed their wish to explore opportunities for future cooperation with the University.
