HSMC NAMED LECTURE HALL AFTER MRS PONG HONG SIU CHU

Hang Seng Management College (HSMC) named a lecture hall in Academic Building (Block A) after Mrs Pong Hong Siu Chu, in recognition of a generous donation of HK$3,000,000 to the College by Ms Pong Yeng, Mr David Pong and Mr Edward Pong, and the naming ceremony was held on 23 September 2014.

 

Ms Pong Yeng, Mr and Mrs Edward Pong presided over the naming ceremony. They unveiled the commemorative plaque along with Professor Simon Ho, President; Dr Moses Cheng Mo Chi, Member of the Board of Governors and the Fundraising and Donation Committee; and Professor Gilbert Fong, Provost and Dean of School of Translation.

 

“The rapid growth of HSMC, attributed to the support from all sectors, allows students to enjoy state-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities. More innovative programmes will be launched to meet the changing societal needs. We will continue to move forward to the goal of becoming a leading private university,” said Professor Simon Ho. He expressed again his heartfelt gratitude to the Pong’s family for supporting the College’s campus expansion project and higher education, and he also conveyed his anticipation of sustaining a close cooperative relationship with the family.
