With the aim of fostering connections between current and former students of the programme, the Department of English organised an alumni gathering called “Alumni Fun Day” on 21 August 2021, where participants got together for basketball and badminton games as well as e-sports games.

The department highly valued the connections with alumni as a very important component of the Bachelor of Arts in English community. The event was finally turned into success despite the difficulties encountered during the tough time of the pandemic and successfully attracted around 60 participants including alumni, students and staff members.

The Advancement and Alumni Affairs Office highly appreciated the efforts of the department and was supportive of the event, which provided networking opportunity and lifted the spirits for the participants during this period of social distancing.
