Dr Patrick Poon, Governor of HSMC, gives his further support to the College by launching a HK$10 million Dr Patrick Poon’s Matching Challenge donation campaign to encourage more donations to HSMC for its future development. Under this campaign which will be effective until 31 July 2019, the amount of each donation to HSMC will be matched with the same amount from Dr Poon’s Matching Challenge fund. Various HSMC fundraising activities and student financial aid including bursary, scholarship, exchange and internship will be covered.

A wide range of activities will be organised to appeal to different target groups – The Eco-Pledge Campaign helps build a better campus environment for students. The HSMC Courtyard Campaign appeals to alumni, staff and HSMC community. The HSMC FunD Run, a charity run along Shatin Shing Mum Riverside to HSMC to be held in April 2018, targets also the general public. It will be followed by a fun carnival with performances and games. Any donations up to HK$500,000 to these fundraising activities are greatly welcome for matching.
