Hang Seng Management College (HSMC) is organizing the “HSMC FunD Run for U” in mid April this year as the first community engagement cum fundraising run among local self-financed higher education institutions. On 10 March, Advancement and Alumni Affairs Office invited Dr Jacky Cheung Wah-keung, Co-Chairperson of the Organisation Committee and HSMC alumnus, to lead a hiking tour for runners to help them prepare for the event. Dr Patrick Poon, Governor of HSMC and Mrs Patrick Poon, together with participants in the Run including friends from different industries, HSMC alumni, staff and students took part in the outing.

Setting out from the College, the hiking group passed through Ma On Shan Country Park (near Tate’s Cairn). While taking in scenery of Shatin along the way, participants spent time to train up for the upcoming “HSMC FunD Run for U”.

After the journey, participants returned to the campus to enjoy lunch with President Simon S.M. Ho. The group exchanged ideas about HSMC and higher education development in Hong Kong, sharing a relaxing weekend together.
