On 5 January 2019, the School of Communication held its first alumni gathering, which was attended by over 70 alumni and staff members. Prof. Scarlet Tso, Associate Vice-President (Communications and Public Affairs), introduced the latest developments of the University and the School, followed by an update on the Bachelor of Journalism and Communication (Honours) (BJC) programme by Associate Dean Prof. James Chang. The organising committee for BJC was established on the same day, comprising representatives from different alumni cohorts. Future gatherings will be organised on a regular basis to strengthen the ties of alumni with their alma mater.

With the support of the Advancement and Alumni Affairs Office, participating alumni enjoyed a most heart-warming and memorable reunion.
