NAMING CEREMONY OF HO TAK SUM CLASSROOM
In recognition of the generous donation of Mr Ho Tak Sum, M.H. in support of its future development, Hang Seng Management College (HSMC) has named a classroom in the S H Ho Academic Building (Block A) after Mr Ho. The official naming ceremony was held on 30 March 2017.
Before the ceremony took place, Mr and Mrs Ho, together with their daughter, Miss Ivy Ho, attended a luncheon at The Always on campus. The luncheon was hosted by Dr Patrick Poon, HSMC Governor, Professor Simon S. M. Ho, President, and Professor Gilbert Fong, Provost. President Ho took the opportunity to update the guests of honour on the recent developments of HSMC.
At the Naming Ceremony, Mr and Mrs Ho, and Miss Ivy Ho unveiled the commemorative plaque along with Dr Patrick Poon, President Simon Ho, and Prof. Gilbert Fong.
Well versed in Chinese Culture, Mr Ho encouraged HSMC to continue to nurture young talent at the service of the community with the spirit of the “four ontological goals” (to seek the Will of Heaven and Earth; to determine the Fate of the People; to perpetuate the Great Learning of Past Sages; and to usher in Universal Peace for future generations) put forward by the Northern-Song-dynasty philosopher Zhang Zai. President Simon Ho expressed his gratitude for Mr Ho’s generous support and appreciation for Mr Ho’s role as a driving force behind the development of higher education in Hong Kong. President Ho also conveyed his wish to maintain close cooperation with Mr Ho in future.
