The Appreciation and Naming Reception of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong – Foundation Gallery
To celebrate the establishment of “The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong – Foundation Gallery”, The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) held an appreciation and naming reception at the Creative Humanities Hub on 8 August 2024.
Dr Patrick Poon Sun-cheong, Governor and Chairman of the Foundation Management Committee, and Professor Simon S. M. Ho, President, served as the officiating guests for the event. HSUHK-Foundation members were invited to join the appreciation reception, which was also a joyous gathering to strengthen relationships among members.
Dr Poon reinstated that since its establishment nine years ago, HSUHK-Foundation has been receiving strong support from various sectors in striving for continuous growth in membership. He expressed his sincere gratitude to each Foundation Member, emphasizing that all Members are our pillar of support for the University’s development.
President Ho thanked all HSUHK-Foundation Members for their longstanding support, acknowledging their staunch contributions to enhancing campus facilities, teaching equipment, and student services. The successful construction of the Creative Humanities Hub was highlighted as a collective achievement of all supporters. Appreciation was extended to several HSUHK-Foundation Members, including Dr Yip Kit-chuen, The S. H. Ho Foundation, Dr Patrick Poon Sun-cheong, Mrs Patricia Wong, CMG International Charitable Fund, Bright Future Charitable Foundation, Ir Professor Tsui Tack-kong, Mr Eugene Liu, Mr Lo Foo-cheung, Dr Dennis Ng Wang-pun, and Leung Chun Woon Kee (Service Consultant), etc for their support of the “HSUHK-Foundation Gallery Naming Initiative.”
The HSUHK-Foundation Gallery will host various exhibitions in the future, providing a platform for students and artists to showcase their works, thereby promoting cultural and artistic development within the University and the community.
