Visit From Shum Shui Po Commercial & Industrial Liaison Committee

Mr William Wong, Chairman of Shum Shui Po Commercial & Industrial Liaison Committee (SSPCILC), along with his delegation, visited The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) on 15 November 2024. They were warmly received by Professor Simon Ho, President of HSUHK, Ms Elisa Chan, Director of Advancement and Alumni Affairs, and Ms Alice Chan, Senior Manager of Advancement and Alumni Affairs.

During the meeting, Professor Simon Ho introduced his connection to Shum Shui Po District to the members of the SSPCILC and shared HSUHK’s unique “Liberal + Professional” education model with its latest development plans. Mr William Wong elaborated on the work scope and progress of the committee members. The two parties expressed their views and enjoyed a lively discussion on several courses offered by HSUHK, such as Arts, Artificial Intelligence and the Start-Up and SME Resource Centre.

The guests then toured the campus, with a particularly meaningful visit to the library, where they viewed the “Dr Ho Wai Kuen Discussion Room”. This discussion room was named in recognition of Dr Ho Wai-kuen’s generous donation to support the University’s development. Dr Ho is the Honorary Director of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong- Foundation and a member of SSPCILC. The guests took photos in the discussion room and expressed their appreciation for the University’s facilities. The visit concluded in a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere, with both parties looking forward to further cooperation.
