A delegation of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) was invited by Mr Francis Yuen, University Trustee of The University of Chicago (UChicago); and Dr Rose Lee, Mr Yuen’s spouse and former Chairman of the Board of Governors (2013-2018) of Hang Seng Management College (predecessor of the University) to visit UChicago Francis and Rose Yuen Campus (UChicago Hong Kong Campus) on 24 February 2021. The delegation was led by President Prof. Simon S. M. Ho, with members including Prof. Y V Hui, Vice-President (Academic and Research); Dr Tom Fong, Vice-President (Organisational Development); Ms Elisa Chan, Director of Advancement and Alumni Affairs; and Mr Kingston Sun, Associate Head of Campus Development and Management Office.
During the visit, Mr Francis Yuen introduced to the delegation UChicago’s development in Asia and the campus’s design concept “Treehouse of Knowledge”. Mr Mark Barnekow, Executive Director of UChicago Francis and Rose Yuen Campus, also shared the executive master programmes running in Hong Kong and different activities bringing over 6,000 visitors to the campus since its opening. All participants spent a wonderful afternoon at the campus for a guided tour and enjoyed the beautiful sunset view.
