Alumni Revisit Alma Mater
The Advancement and Alumni Affairs Office warmly welcomed a group of dedicated alumni back to their alma mater on 4 October 2024. They were graciously received by President Simon Ho, Acting Vice-President (Organisational Development) Professor Y. V. Hui, and Ms Elisa Chan, Director of Advancement and Alumni Affairs.
These alumni were among the first cohort of graduates from Hang Seng School of Commerce, the predecessor of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK). They share a deep affection for their alma mater and are grateful for the invaluable learning opportunities they received, which helped lay a solid foundation for their career development. The visit was initiated by alumnus Mr Kenneth Leung, Founding Chairman and Advisor of HSUHK Alumni Association, and was joined by respected teacher Professor Judy Tsui.
A guided tour was arranged by the Advancement and Alumni Affairs Office for the group to immerse themselves in the joy of reconnecting with old friends, and to explore and discover today’s HSUHK campus, including the iconic M Building, the Old Hall, and the newly inaugurated Creative Humanities Hub. The visit was concluded with a luncheon hosted by President Ho at The Always, where everyone celebrated cherished memories and raised a toast to friendships and bonds. During the luncheon, President Ho introduced the University’s latest developments, including the HSUHK M Building Renovation Fund-raising Campaign. He warmly encouraged alumni to support the campaign and give back to their alma mater.
