The Chatroom series aims at providing an open and live broadcast platform online for industry leaders to share their views and experience. The series was launched on 30 June 2020, with solid support from the Hong Kong Youth Industrialist Council (HKYIC) President Dr Bobby Liu, who came to the University campus to attend the Chatroom in person and was warmly received by University President Simon S M Ho.

Panel speakers Dr Jacky Cheung and Mr Paul Tai, both HSUHK alumni and industry leaders, spoke from “specialist” and “generalist” perspectives. Vice-President (Organisational Development) Dr Tom Fong facilitated the online platform as moderator.

Over 100 HSUHK alumni, students and staff members, as well as HKYIC members participated in the robust dialogue and exchanged ideas in real time with the panel speakers and moderator. Participants were keen to raise questions and enthusiastically discussed their view.
