The Erudition Seat Scheme is one of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong’s (HSUHK) fundraising campaigns. It is an opportunity for students, staff, alumni and friends of the University to support its development, whilst celebrating their connection to HSUHK by naming a seat.
Donations will be used for supporting the campus development of the University.
You can name a seat in Fung Yiu King Hall (A401), M1003 Lecture Theatre (M1003) or Alice Lam Lecture Theatre (N102).
Yes, you can indicate your top three preferred seat locations on the donation pledge form. We will do our best to respond to all seat location requests. However, seat assignment is based on availability and is carried out on a first-come, first-served basis. The University reserves the right to make the final seat assignment.
You can name a seat as an individual, couple or company. You will need to choose one of the standardised formats to be engraved on the plaque along with your name or company name. Alumni may choose to include their year of graduation. Some donors may dedicate a seat to a loved one. Each plaque can accommodate up to 2 names.

You will be invited to visit your named seat(s) during the special events organised by Advancement and Alumni Affairs Office. You can also contact us to schedule an appointment for the visit during office hours.
Yes, you can sponsor as many seats as you like.
Each plaque will be in place for five years from the date it is unveiled. After five years, we will make contact to ask if supporters would like to renew their support.
