Mr Ken Cheng and Mr Randy Hung visit HSUHK to Explore Opportunities for Collaboration

Mr Ken Cheng, Founder and Chairman, SMT Global Logistics Limited; and Mr Randy Hung, Council Member and Chairman of Training Committee, The Hong Kong Institute of Directors, visited The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) on 15 June 2026, accompanied by Mr Andric Yew, Member of HSUHK Fundraising and Donation Committee. They were received by Dr Josiah Chan, Vice-President (Organisational and Development); Dr Helen Ma, Associate Head, Department of Supply Chain and Information Management; Mr Harry Lee, Associate Programme Director (Business Logistics) of BBA-SCM Programme; Ms Elisa Chan, Director of Advancement and Alumni Affairs; and Mr Tony Tong, Assistant Manager, Advancement and Alumni Affairs Office, for an exchange on potential future collaborations.

During the meeting, the guests gained deeper insights into HSUHK’s unique “Liberal + Professional” education model, as well as the strategic developments, research projects and academic offerings of the Department of Supply Chain and Information Management. Both parties engaged in fruitful discussions on strengthening industry‑academic collaboration, including opportunities to enrich students’ practical learning experiences and to support professional development within the industry.

The guests were then given a campus tour, visiting teaching and learning facilities and the Virtual Reality Centre, gaining a better understanding of HSUHK’s innovative learning environment.The visit concluded in a cordial atmosphere, with both sides expressing keen interest in fostering closer collaboration in talent development and industry engagement in the future.
