Visit from Providence Foundation Limited
Mr Gary Chong from the Providence Foundation Limited (the Foundation) visited The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) on 6 February 2026. The visit was warmly hosted by Ms Alice Chan, Assistant Director of Advancement and Alumni Affairs.
Since 2024, the Providence Foundation Limited has been a dedicated supporter of HSUHK, contributing annually to establish bursaries for students with financial needs. During the meeting, Mr Chong highlighted the Foundation’s long-standing contributions to Hong Kong’s social welfare sector, including initiatives in education, healthcare, and services for individuals with intellectual disabilities. In the field of education, beyond providing bursaries, the Foundation also encourages students to broaden their horizons by engaging with the world to gain a wider perspective. Assistance Director, Ms Chan also introduced the University’s unique “Liberal + Professional” education model, which emphasises nurturing well-rounded talents with both professional expertise and humanistic values.
The visit included a campus tour, during which Mr Chong expressed appreciation for HSUHK’s cutting-edge facilities and scenic campus environment. The visit concluded successfully on a positive and productive note, with both sides expressing a strong willingness to strengthen cooperation and contribute to societal development in the future.
