Visit from Hong Kong Young Industrialists Council Ltd.
A delegation from the Hong Kong Young Industrialists Council Ltd. (HKYIC), led by Executive Vice President Ir Dr Derrick Pang, visited The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) on 30 July 2026. The delegation was warmly received by President Simon Ho; Dr Jacky Cheung, Council Member; Dr Josiah Chan, Vice-President (Organisational and Development); Professor Chan Wai-sum, Dean of School of Decision Sciences; Ms Elisa Chan, Director of Advancement and Alumni Affairs; Professor Daniel Mo, Associate Dean (Engagement and Undergraduate Studies) of School of Decision Sciences and Ir Dr George Ho, Associate Professor of Supply Chain and Information Management.
The visit featured an engaging session where President Simon Ho and Dr Jacky Cheung introduced the delegation to HSUHK’s history and recent milestones, highlighting the University’s unique “Liberal + Professional” education model. The meeting also sparked a productive dialogue on the latest development trends and practical applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Following the discussion, the delegation proceeded with a campus tour, visiting the Martin Ka Shing Lee Innovation Lab and the innovative research projects of the School of Decision Sciences, offering an insight into the University’s state-of-the-art teaching facilities and latest research achievements. The interaction fostered further exchange, with both HSUHK and HKYIC looking forward to closer collaboration ahead.
