Following the earlier relaxation of certain social distancing measure after the prolonged worldwide pandemic, Dr Tom Fong, Vice-President (Organisational Development) took this opportunity to invite advancement and alumni affairs peers from the local higher education institutions to join the Gathering on 24 February 2023 (Friday) on the campus of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK).
Over 30 participants were warmly received by Dr Fong, Ms Antonia Yeung, Associate Vice-President (Development and Campus Services), and Ms Elisa Chan, Director of Advancement and Alumni Affairs. During the welcome session, Dr Fong updated the guests with the latest developments and achievements of HSUHK. He trusted that after riding out the multiple socio-economic challenges and with joint efforts of the peers, the sector would keep flourishing and continue benefiting our community in diversified ways.
Guests, who came from UGC-funded and self-funded institutions, shared their views, exchanged experience, and discussed some questions during the
Q & A session. Afterwards, participants went on a campus tour which furnished them with a better understanding of the University. The comprehensive tour covered Lee Quo Wei Academic Building, The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong – Foundation Wall, SCOM Cinema and TV Production Centre, HSUHK Jockey Club Residential Colleges, Lee Shau Kee Complex, and also the construction site of Creative Humanities Hub. The guests were pleasantly impressed by the transformation of Hang Seng School of Commerce into one of the local leading private universities over the decades.
